The Mystery of the Scotch-tape

Wow, I am indeed impressed with my recent blogging.
Another short story.
So, the family and I were wrapping presents on the eve before Christmas Eve in the living room, it was indeed family fun! I noticed that my Dad started to place gifts under the tree that didn't belong to his Secret Santa. The fun part of having Secret Santa's is finding out who everyone has before Christmas day :) I questioned him but he just smiled to himself.
On Christmas Eve, Heather and Mom were finishing up the Christmas wrapping.. problem, no scotch-tape.. Mystery...
This morning as we were opening gifts, we found the scotch-tape, my Dad was having sooo much fun wrapping the gifts that he started to grab things in front of him, beside him, behind him. Needless to say it sat safety under the tree for two nights :D
Merry Christmas!!!
I pray that your Christmas was filled with the hope of Jesus, and that your life will be blessed in knowing and loving Him as the Saviour of this world.
Much love.

Family Fun

Funny stories that I had to share...
Firstly, the family and I were all sitting down for a nice dinner to celebrate my Dad's birthday. We had potatoes, sausages, corn and 'gravy'. Heather was the only one that had the pleasure of using the 'gravy' for the main meal :) After dinner, we had icecream cake with some lovely chocolate sauce. Yes indeed, the 'gravy' was infact chocolate sauce :D She did not notice, laughter was had and tears were shared!

This morning as we were heading off to Toronto to celebrate Christmas with the Hefford side of the family. Dad is the last to exit the house as per usual :) He yells to the van and asks someone to bring keys to lock the house. We all questioned why he didn't have keys, but ignored the thought and went to lock the door. He sits in the driver's seat. He didn't have keys. The car can't start :) Another moment of laughter is had!

We also had a cake to take into Toronto for my Grandad's birthday. Mom put icing in a ziplock bag so that we could ice the cake when needed. We forgot the cake, but we did have the icing ;)

After the skate this morning and cleaning up, Dad, Heather, Dave and I walk to the van to drive to the Grandparents house. Heather and I climb into the middle seat. We are ready to go :)
Before Dad and Dave climb into the van, Grandad and Uncle Gord come to our van in hopes that we can help them find Uncle Gord's cell phone. We open the van door. We phone his cell phone with our cell phone, the ringing begins. Grandad hears nothing and we begin the search. Grandad is still questioning if the phone is ringing as it continues to make a rather annoying beeping sound :) We search the coat, the pockets and find the phone. Grandad is still waiting for the phone to ring :D Dad climbs into the driver's seat. Dave opens the back door looks at Heather and I with a confused look on his face and very seriously asks, "How do I get in?" :D The passenger seat is available so we redirect him to that seat ;) Step 1: Open door Step. 2: Place one foot in. Step 3: Pull self up. Step 4: Ensure other foot is in van. Step 5: Close door ;) So funny!

Tonight at dinner, we discuss how I listen to everything, nothing can get by me :) My mother agrees and says the same about herself. As she is saying this, she is clearing the table. She drops everything. Dave comments about how she didn't 'catch that'. I respond by saying what's even funnier is that she didn't catch Dave saying that she didn't catch the dishes :D My day is complete :)

P.S. You had to be there ;)
P.P.S. You have to know my family :)
P.P.P.S. Stay tuned for the silly thing that I will do.. It's my turn ;)
P.P.P.P.S. Merry Christmas Eve!!
